The Journey

Everywhere you turn is darkness

We're all searching for the light

Some may never find it

Some cling on steadfast with all their might

The wrongs and the rights of the world are all astray

And at some point in time we all lose our way

Like a cloudy day

The fog covers our eyes

Unable to see what's ahead of us

Our vision is unclear

Unable to feel the Spirit near

We become lost souls

Longing to find our way back

We struggle hopelessly to get back on track

It may be a long journey

'Til we find our way back

We may take the wrong path

Or turn a different way

But when we feel broken and alone on this journey

We feel the hand of the Savior extended to us

A voice whispers saying

“Take my hand, and together we’ll walk this road

together, I’ll give you the strength to keep going, just put your trust in me”

I get on my knees

And thank my Savior

For He once experienced the sorrows and pains of my soul

I continue my journey

With all faith in Him

With the Lord on my side there is no way I can't win

The ultimate reward to return to Him

"Just follow the light

And I promise

Everything will be alright"
